JOB TITLE: Building Engineer/ Security
DEPARTMENT: Administration
REPORTS TO: Associate Director
SALARY RANGE: $10.00 an hour
WORK SCHEDULE: Summer-Monday- Friday 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. alternating one day a month for one Saturday (seasonal) Flea Market
September through June- 12:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
Schedule subject to change based on AIC needs (evening program and event needs)
Job Summary:
Responsible for the day to day building maintenance needs and general building security in coordination with AIC program and event need
Job duties (Building Engineer):
- Responsible for daily AIC maintenance needs
- Unloading Social Services deliveries and donations.
- Painting as needed
- Minor plumbing upkeep and repairs as needed
- Enforce Fire safety procedures
- Supervising Senior Aides
- Minor electrical repairs as needed
- Grounds keeping maintenance
- Must be able to lift at least 80 lbs.
- Maintain all files, records and building reports.
- Must develop emergency evacuation plan with Building Committee
- Must maintain updated key log for building
- Must compile monthly written report for AIC Board of Directors.
- And other duties as assigned.
Job Duties cont. (Security):
- Lock up after all AIC events
- Bingo and evening AIC programs ( pow wows, Positive Paths, etc.)
- Secure all doors and windows before leaving premises
- Ask anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or who may pose a threat to others, to leave, if they do not comply, the police will be called.
- Must set up and breakdown monthly flea market in exchange for one day off during the same week.
Qualifications: Organization, Time Management, Computer Literacy, Basic Building Repairs, Safety Skills, Teamwork, must have cell phone and be able to be contacted 24 hours a day in case of building emergency.
Background check and drug testing required
EDUCATION:
High School diploma or G.E.D
EXPERIENCE:
Prior building maintenance experience and security experience preferred.

JOB SUMMARY
Under supervision of Registered Nurse (RN), is responsible for developing a registration of community seniors, a council of community seniors, and helping appropriate AIC staff in meeting the needs of community seniors with regards to senior lunches, food pantry and social service referrals.
WORK SCHEDULE
8 hours per week, Mondays and Wednesdays, 11am – 3pm during Senior Lunch and after lunch activities. Job may be shared with another senior with each person working either a Monday or a Wednesday of each week; or alternating weeks.
SKILLS
Oral and Written Communication Skills.
Professionalism, Diplomacy and Customer Service in dealing with the public.
Math Aptitude and Computer Literacy.
Organization, Record Keeping, Filing and Time Management skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
Senior aged 55 years or older.
Experience with or ability to work with Native American and cultural diverse community
in culturally competent manner.
