25 Turkeys
10 hams
150 pounds of Potatoes
100 pounds of Sweet potatoes
100 pounds of Stuffing
30 pumpkin pies
Salads, pasta, and side dishes
Paper plates (1000 dinner plates), napkins, plastic knives, forks, spoons and cups

 

Christmas (kids) Party
(donations needed by: December 12)   

Christmas at AICDate of Party: Saturday December 16, 2006  1 – 4 pm.

    35 hams
    250 pounds of Potatoes
    30 pumpkin pies
    Paper plates (1000 dinner plates), napkins, plastic knives, forks, spoons and cups

MAJOR ORGANIZATIONAL WISHES!

  1. New Maxi-Van for Elders and kids transportation along with donation and Pantry food pickups
  2. New Laptops (6) one for each of the programs to share
  3. Capital Campaign (6.5 Million) for entire building renovations (Elevator is part of the plan)
  4. Endowment for staff to feel secure in positions
  5. Large capacity copy machines                        

 

Monthly Community meetings: Held the last Wednesday of each month 6:30 pm. to 8:30. 

  1. 36 Large bags of chips,
  2. 5 cases of cookies,
  3. 4 large cans of coffee,
  4. 15 cases of mixed soda,
  5. 25 cases of bottled water
Would someone like to sponsor a light dinner for the meetings?

Wellness Department:                           

Social Service Program: 

  1. Good working or New: Cargo or passenger Van for pick up of food from Food Depository and shared with senior and     youth program!
  2. Food drives
  3. Winter coat, hat and glove drive
  4. 2 digital blood pressure cuffs with various sizes of cuffs
  5. 4 Stethoscopes
  6. Hundreds of auto one-time-use finger stick needle units
  7. Alcohol swabs or dispensors
  8. 2x2 inch non-sterile gauze squares - hundreds of them
  9. Boxes of latex gloves, size medium
  10. Constant supply of blood glucose strips with appropriate machines
  11. Small hazard waste containers & a place to dispose of them
  12. Volunteer nurses, nurse or medical students to help with screenings at Senior lunch and/or special events
  13. Current drug info books

Kitchens in both tribal hall and Social Services:

  1. mouse proof metal cabinets, kitchen cabinets and wire shelving.
  2. mouse proof plastic containers with lockable lids of varying sizes for
  3. utensils, plates, cups, bowls, cook ware, etc.
  4. 1 Industrial size dishwasher and all the dishware & utensils to go with it.
  5. Mop closets with adequate supplies & equipment.

Senior Program:

Passenger Van (will carry 15 people)

  1. Games for seniors, and a nice cabinet for them to go into.
  2. Crafts & craft supplies & cabinet or bins for them to go into.
  3. GP general and Native/Indigenous oriented movies (dvd or video).
  4. TV & VCR/DVD just for the senior room on an easy to move cabinet.
  5. NEW FLOOR - hardwood or laminate.
  6. New/better furniture that is easy to keep clean

Health And Wellness Center (HAWC)

Capital campaign donations to renovate space for:

  • More treadmills
  • Fitness area and instruction in weight room.
  • Exercise bands

Elders/senior program:

  • Raising $2700.00 to install new hardwood flooring and replace very old carpet for allergies and easy clean up for our Elders!

Education Department:

AIC graduation 2006
Native Graduation 2006 at the American Indian Center

Positive Paths, after school program:

  1. School supplies (enough for 50 kids in the program)
  2. Back packs
  3. Pens and Pencils
  4. spiral note books
  5. pocket folders
  6. Texas Instruments calculators (scientific) *
